On Jan.15th, 2019, Shanghai Tang & Partners Law firm, together with Shanghai Jiajing Human Service Co.. Ltd, had successfully held the 2019 clients’ annual convention at Shanghai International Trade Center.
The domestic and international economic situation of 2018 had brought considerable impact on the majority of the companies. The many laws and regulations that were implemented in the latter half of the year include a change in the subjects contributing to the social insurance and the revision of the Individual Income Tax Law, which had attracted much attentionwithin the industry.
As a result, the theme of the convention was set as “Adaptation, Respondence, Improvent”, which signified that we are going to spare no effort in helping our clients adapt to the new policies, respond to new problems, improve adaptabilities, so as to go through the adaptive phrase.
Despite the cold weather and the long-absent sun, about 150 guests attended the convention.
This year during the convention, we invited two experts of Shanghai labor law enforcement and dispute solving to share their exciting opinions on the two topics: “Comments on Labor Dispute Cases in 2018 Shanghai” and “Review on Illegal Cases from Labor Inspection in 2018 Shanghai”.
“Comments on Labor Dispute Cases in 2018 Shanghai” focused on the collecting and using of evidence in labor dispute solving. Through real vivid cases, the expert taught our guests how to gather and effectively use evidence in labor disputes. “Hardcore” informations were given in these case studies, whichthe guests benefit a great deal from.
“Review on Illegal Cases from Labor Inspection in 2018 Shanghai”, on the other hand, introduced the typical law-violating cases in labor inspection in 2018 Shanghai from the perspective of labor enforcement. Though the introduction, we learned that the force of labor inspection would be further intensified in the future, while a “blacklist” system would be used in cooperation with the credit information system, so that companies that violate the law would have no escape. The purpose of law enforcement is to ensure equality for legitimate companies and to punish the illegitimate ones.
